So fresh and so clean, clean

Dogwood has a new website, and it’s pretty nice.

It’s no exaggeration to say this site has been years in the making — but hey! It’s important not to rush what is, for all intents and purposes, Dogwood’s home away from home in internet land.

For anyone who’s overhauled a tired, almost decade old website, they know it takes time, energy and, let’s face it, finances. Mountain Equipment Co-op to the rescue! MEC understood and supported our vision for a new home online, one that was user-friendly and would elevate Dogwood’s mission to connect everyday British Columbians with the resources and opportunities they need to become a people-powered, democracy building machine. It is with their generosity we were able to conjure the website of our dreams. Thank you Mountain Equipment Co-op.

Dogwood’s site is now as it should be: a reflection of the fresh, fierce and fun volunteers and supporters who make the organization shine, alongside critical information, petitions and calls to action that will change the political landscape of British Columbia for the better.

After years of dreaming and planning, months of design and preparation, and a few eye-crossing days of polishing up and finishing touches, we now invite you to have a peep around. If you have constructive feedback, head to our Contact Us page and let us know what you think.

Please note: we’re very receptive to compliments right now, so the order with which your comments are read and responded to will reflect that… Kidding! Sort of.

I don’t live in BC but the Dogwood website helps Ontarians to understand your experiences. Keep on reporting and we will shut down those negative, non-monetary decisions. Thanks so much for your reporting.

I love you, Dogwood. I want to just make that clear ..
My first glance at your new website hit me hard. A picture of all females, all white. That does not sit right with me.

      Hi Wendy,

You’re absolutely right. Dogwood is made up of a diverse group of people, and this photo isn’t a reflection of that. We’re on the search of good quality photos that better represent Dogwood supporters. Thank you for calling us out on this!

  3. while I don’t live in BC anymore, I grew up there and I traveled up and down the coast many times …increasing our reliance on the oil and gas industry is not a good idea and PM Trudeau should know that. getting dirty Alberta oil to market is wrong and we should start to build solar and wind options.
