First Nation leaders from the newly launched Title & Rights Alliance demand that the provicial Crown repeal recent forest and land use legislation that infringes their Title. In a letter to Premier campbel and Forest Minister De Jong, the Title & Rights Alliance leaders condemned the new legislation stating that the governments “unilateral approach without consultation and accommodation within our territories will continue to increase legal uncertainty on the land.”
The letter indicates that, “[o]nly the First Nations of BC can provide the certainty that the provincial Crown and resource industries are seeking.”

The letter is the latest challenge to the Liberal pro-corporate agenda. It ends with words that must be ominous to resource industry executives, “Until proper accommodation occurs neither businesses nor their investors will have the certainty they seek
