Hi!
I just signed an open letter summing up my concerns about a new mega LNG project in northern B.C.
The Nisga’a Nation has partnered with oil and gas companies in Houston and Calgary to propose another massive expansion of fracking and tanker traffic.
It's called Ksi Lisims, and it would consume the entire power output of the Site C dam — with BC Hydro customers like you and me paying the bill.
The project would require another pipeline the size of Coastal GasLink, through old growth forests and wild salmon rivers including the Babine, Skeena, Kispiox and Nass.
All to export a product (fracked gas, i.e. LNG) that the latest studies show is worse for the climate than burning coal.
This month only, the B.C. government is taking comments from the public on the Ksi Lisims LNG project. I signed the open letter and I'm hoping you will too?
Thanks for taking a minute to add your voice!
