Pipedreams Community Forums

CFTK news coverage of the ‘Pipedreams’ community forum tour by Friends of Wild Salmon, Dogwood Initiative, Pembina Institute, and West Coast Environmental Law that provided a different perspective on Enbridge Inc.’s proposed Northern Gateway tar sands pipeline and tanker project to packed houses in Prince Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat, Hazelton, and Smithers, BC.

Jennifer Grant from Pembina Institute spoke about the tar sands, the  industry driving the project.

Eric Swanson from Dogwood Initiative spoke about the project itself, including the inevitability of spills and the flaws of the process currently being used to assess the project.

Jessica Clogg and Josh Paterson from West Coast Environmental Law answered questions concerning the current process and the need for one that gives communities the opportunity to have a real voice based on all the facts.
