Yes! I am committed to being a canvasser during Dogwood’s citizens’ initiative.
PLEASE NOTE: Only registered B.C. voters can become canvassers during the initiative.
Christy Clark just approved the Kinder Morgan pipeline, joining the ranks of politicians selling out B.C. to a Texas oil company. Our government has failed us — time to take action.
Dogwood is getting ready to launch a citizens’ initiative — a people-powered pledge that will allow British Columbians to write their own bill demanding Premier Clark put pipeline and oil tanker projects to a province-wide vote. Volunteers at Dogwood have been preparing for this moment for the last few years, canvassing for signatures in preparation. Now is the time to sign up official Elections BC-approved canvassing teams to take part in the actual initiative, a 90-day action taking place during Summer 2017 (actual launch date can not be set until after the B.C. election in May).
If you are:
– serious about stopping Kinder Morgan
– have the time next Summer
– are willing to train and
– ready take action
…we need you!
Fill in this form to submit your intent to sign up as a canvasser and one of our organizers will be in touch in the new year.
PLEASE NOTE: Only people who are registered to vote in B.C. are allowed to become citizens’ initiative canvassers. If you are not a registered voter, you can still volunteer for Dogwood in other ways!
