Tell the Prime Minister to stop borrowing billions of dollars to build Trans Mountain:
With the climate crisis looming, Justin Trudeau wants taxpayers to borrow billions of dollars to help the oil industry expand.
Construction on the Trans Mountain pipeline has barely started. But already the cost has ballooned to $12.6 billion.
This is on top of $4.5 billion the government paid for the old pipeline when the private sector saw the writing on the wall and walked away from a bad investment.
Canadians don’t want to see their hard-earned tax dollars wasted on a white elephant. It’s time to change course while we still can, and invest those billions in the transition to renewable energy instead.
