Ask your candidates to pledge to cancel Trans Mountain

Unprecedented heat waves and wildfires ravaged the country this summer. Scientists have declared a ‘code red’ for humanity. There’s only one way out of this crisis, and that’s to leave fossil fuels in the ground. We need political leaders who understand this basic fact, and have the courage to act on it.

Taking the climate emergency seriously means no more fossil fuel expansion — and that starts with cancelling the taxpayer-owned pipeline project designed to grow the oil industry.

If thousands of us ask our candidates to sign this pledge, we can put Trans Mountain at the top of the political agenda and find out who the true climate champions are.

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Stand.earth to challenge all B.C. candidates to show us they’re ready to do what it takes to tackle the climate emergency.

Find out who’s already signed the pledge here, then send your message.
