We have no details yet, but it sounds as though the privatization of the British Columbia Building Corporation is all but complete. What’s not clear is whether the Corporation will be broken into parts and privatized, or sold to private interests in one lump.
Either way, the process is being carried out in secret, with no public input or scrutiny. This for the Corporation with the mandate of “provide the most cost-effective accommodation options for the provincial public sector and manages the stewardship of those properties to meet the best interests of taxpayers.”
Keep your eyes on the Dogwood Bulletin for more. And more. Because the privatization wave isn’t going to subside anytime soon.
