The past two years of the provincial government’s anti-environment, anti-native, anti-community new era agenda have solidified opposition among a growing number of First nations who are working with Dogwood to implement sustainable land reform. This growing opposition–combined with the increased judical recognition of Aboriginal interests in land and resources and the increasing unity among First Nations demonstrated by the Title & Rights Alliance–provides real opportunities for paradigm-shifting change in 2004.
