SFU Teach-In: “Fire on Burnaby Mountain”

Various SFU students- concerned about their daily proximity to the life-threatening hazards posed by the Kinder Morgan Tank Farm- have come together to organize this event.

Connecting the Dots to Pipelines, Fossil Fuels, and Climate Change is a teach-in surrounding the consequences of the Trans Mountain Pipeline, featuring an expert panel on forest ecology, climate change and health. This event will include information on SFU’s emergency response to a fire, a community discussion and opportunities for action.

Thursday, June 28, 10AM – 3PM

A free lunch will be served!

Burnaby Mountain, at SFU in room 9011, Blusson Hall.
Blusson Hall is conveniently located next to the bus loop.

This event will be held on the traditional and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Kwikwetlem First Nations.
