Calling all Tri Cities area Dogwooders!
On Sunday, November 26, we will gather in Port Moody to commemorate one year since the Federal Government approved Kinder Morgan’s pipeline and tanker expansion project.
We’ll take some powerful photos of our local teams ready to talk to people in his riding. Which is exactly what we are going to do next! The provincial government has promised to use “all available tools” to stop Kinder Morgan. We’re ready to talk directly to local constituents about holding them to that promise.
Kinder Morgan is saying they can start construction by the end of the calendar year. One year after Justin Trudeau’s Kinder Morgan approval, this fight is getting down to the wire — and we need to help our B.C. government choose the right side of history.
We will meet at 1 pm for a briefing, and then will split up. Volunteers will be divided between street canvassing and door-knocking. We’ll report back at 2:45 to debrief at the JJ Bean in Suter Brook Village and gather stories to tell about the conversations we had with constituents who expect the government to live up to its promise of using “every available tool”.
Come dressed for the weather, and please RSVP so we know what supplies to bring!
