Courtenay Film Screening: Directly Affected

Tuesday, April 3 at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

The fight to defend BC from the Trans Mountain expansion project is occurring on many fronts. Join Dogwood supporters and your friends and neighbours for the World Community Courtenay premier of Directly Affected — a Zack Embree film exploring what the expansion of heavy oil transport means to residents of the BC Coast.

Directly Affected is playing at 7:00 PM Tuesday April 3rd at North Island College’s Stan Hagen Theatre.

You will be given an opportunity to take part in a 90 second direct action (from the comfort of your chairs) and David Mills from Dogwood will facilitate a short discussion about the scope of resistance that is occurring from citizens zip tying themselves to the fence outside the terminal, to indigenous court challenges to the battle over jurisdiction between BC and Ottawa.

Admission is by donation. Bring your questions. RSVP here.
