Corruption Inquiry Now

British Columbians are rightly horrified by the spending scandal unfolding in the heart of our legislature. Two senior public servants are alleged to have misspent millions of taxpayer dollars on fancy clothes, premium liquor, vacations, yard tools, electronics and more.

But even that pales in comparison to the “rat’s nest of rot” we learned about late last week. The Attorney General now estimates $2,000,000,000 a year was laundered through B.C., as a tidal wave of international drug money sloshed into our casinos and housing market.

Something is deeply wrong in B.C. For years, the previous government ignored criminal activity in the economy and even under their own noses in the legislature. Citizens deserve to know the truth.
